How To Use

Air Dry Clay: Knead until smooth and pliable. If it feels stiff, spray a little water and knead again. Shape with hands, tools or moulds. Air-dry at room temperature for 12–24 hours, then paint with acrylics.

Cold Porcelain Clay: If it feels stiff, condition it with a little lotion. Shape with hands, tools or moulds. Air-dry at room temperature for 24–72 hours. Paint with acrylics once fully dry, and seal with varnish for a long-lasting finish.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between the two clays?
A: Air Dry Clay is lighter, dries faster (12–24 hours) and has a matte finish. Cold Porcelain Clay takes longer to dry (24–72 hours) and dries semi-translucent with a porcelain-like finish, which suits flowers and fine details.

Q: Which clay should I use for which project?
A: Use Air Dry Clay for figurines, charms and home décor. Use Cold Porcelain Clay for flowers, petals, jewellery and other fine detail work.

Q: Do I need to bake either clay?
A: No. Both air-dry at room temperature. No oven, kiln or microwave is needed.

Q: How long do they take to dry?
A: Air Dry Clay: 12–24 hours, depending on thickness. Cold Porcelain Clay: 24–72 hours for most pieces; thick pieces can take up to a week. Humidity and thickness affect drying time.

Q: Can I paint them?
A: Yes. Paint either clay with acrylics once dry. Cold Porcelain Clay can also be coloured by mixing acrylic or oil paint into the clay before shaping.

Q: My Cold Porcelain Clay feels sticky. What should I do?
A: Stickiness usually comes from moisture, warm hands or humid weather. Dust lightly with cornstarch and knead gently.

Q: My Air Dry Clay has dried out. Can I still use it?
A: Spray a small amount of water on the clay and knead it well to reactivate it.

Q: Will Cold Porcelain Clay shrink?
A: Slight shrinkage (about 5–10%) is normal, so plan your designs accordingly.

Q: Is Cold Porcelain Clay waterproof?
A: Not fully. Seal finished pieces with varnish, acrylic sealer or UV resin for better protection.

Q: How do I store unused Air Dry Clay?
A: Keep it in an airtight container or zip-lock bag so it does not dry out.
